Unless other wise told, Leather Bible Covers are made from two type of leather. The Brown in the picture is 1) "veg tan" leather between 2-4 ounce (an ounce = 1/64 inch). The veg tan leather will take laser engraving very well.
2) The interior visible dark blue leather here is a variety of styles and colors. It is very pliable and usually soft to the touch. The lining and pockets are of the same material as well. (see other pics or the video.
Most of the leather Bible Covers are a Saddle tan dye with high lighter applied after wards. This result in a darker color and makes the laser engraving stand out very well.
I can do most any color, the darker the color the less the visible contrast in the laser work.
The pliable leather is an a wide array of colors. Darker colors, reds, browns, there is no end.
I use a CO2 laser that can put many things on the veg tan portion of the leather.
Text, is not a problem at all. just let me know what you would like.
Any picture you see on a Bible cover that I have made is available.
The best way to find "usable" pictures is to google search the picture you want along with the words "line art". While other pictures can work, they create a lot more work and usually charge more for that work.
